1. About TapBack
TapBack is a pilot lost-property QR label service for school families. Families attach private QR labels to school items. If an item is found, a finder can scan the label and send a message through TapBack without seeing the family's private contact details.
2. Parent or guardian signup
The pilot is parent/guardian opt-in only. Students should not buy TapBack directly. By signing up, you confirm that you are a parent, guardian, or authorised adult for the family using the labels.
3. Founding family pilot offer
The Term 3 2026 pilot offer is the A$79 one-time founding family pass. It includes 10 supplied pilot tags, private QR setup access, and TapBack access while the service operates.
The discounted founding price includes a feedback commitment. Families agree to provide honest signup and product feedback so TapBack can improve the pilot.
The A$29 annual plan is paused during the pilot and may reopen later with updated tag quantities, pricing, or support terms.
4. Payments, refunds, and consumer guarantees
Payments are processed through Stripe. TapBack does not store card numbers.
Founding pass purchases are refundable if TapBack does not launch or does not continue for at least 12 months after purchase. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees for faulty products or services.
5. Delivery and setup
Families must provide a delivery address so TapBack can prepare and send the pilot tag pack. The private setup code is sent to the checkout email address. Families are responsible for using labels sensibly and for choosing appropriate item nicknames.
6. Lost-property limits
TapBack helps a finder contact the linked family, but it cannot guarantee that an item will be found, scanned, returned, or stored safely. TapBack does not replace the school's normal lost-property process.
7. School involvement
TapBack is handled directly with families. Your school may allow a pilot or let families use TapBack labels, but the school is not responsible for payments, refunds, delivery, accounts, support, or customer disputes.
If a school raises a safety, privacy, or policy concern, TapBack may pause, change, or stop the pilot for that school.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use TapBack labels or finder forms for false reports, harassment, spam, unsafe messages, or anything unlawful. TapBack may deactivate tags or accounts that are misused.
9. Privacy
TapBack's use of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
